Tormentile Forte ointment is an over-the-counter (OTC) drug intended for the treatment of skin lesions such as: acne, burns, eczematous lesions and other skin inflammations.
The active substances of Tormentile Forte medicinal ointment are:
zinc oxide, liquid
extract of cinquefoil rhizome,
ichtamol,
borax.
The ingredients used complement each other: they have anti-inflammatory, astringent and drying effects. They block the development of pathogenic fungi and bacteria. They reduce the unpleasant feeling of itching and support natural regeneration processes and accelerate wound healing.
Indications
The medicinal product Tormentile Forte is applied topically to the skin in the case of skin lesions such as:
eczematous lesions,
first-degree burns,
mild acne vulgaris.
Composition
100 g of ointment contains:
active substances: zinc oxide (Zinci oxydum) 20 g, liquid extract of cinquefoil rhizome (Tormentillae extractum fluidum) 3 g, ichtamol (Ammoni bituminosulfonas) 2 g, borax (Natrii tetraboras) 1 g;
excipients: yellow petrolatum, lanolin, purified water, vanillin.
Action
Anti-inflammatory, astringent and drying, antibacterial, antifungal.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Tormentile Forte medicinal ointment is applied externally to the skin.
The affected areas should be lubricated several times a day.
If symptoms do not subside within a few days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications
Tormentile Forte ointment should not be used:
in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients;
on damaged skin;
Use in infants should be discussed with a doctor.
Storage
Store at a temperature below 25°C.
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date.
Side effects
No side effects related to the use of Tormentile Forte ointment have been reported so far.

Protect your eyes.
Due to the lanolin content, the medicine may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
