Grow Zones: 3,4,5,6,7

The Midwinter Flame bush is always showing off, no matter what the season is!

Cornus Sanguinea is native to Europe and Western Asia. This bushy blood-twig shrub grows to be 5-6 ft tall. Plant it in full sun to partial shade. Expect flowers to begin showing in June/July. At this time, the leaves are green. The flowers grow in whimsical groupings of white clusters.

Multiple stems grow upright and form a nice bush for walkways borders and hedgerows.

Leaf colors change throughout the seasons. When the leaves drop during winter the remaining twigs show a color display of yellow, orange and red (at times, a deep blood red).

As an added bonus, Cornus Sanguinea is not frost tender. This cold-hardy hedge shrub will make it through the winter months with stride.
