This is an 1898 Indian Head Penny, a very nice, rare coin to own and collect. This is the coin you will receive.
This excellent one cent coin is from the early 19th century and was designed by James B. Longacre.
Struck well over a century ago, its obverse depicts Liberty in a Native American headdress. Reverse of coin features oak wreath and shield. In 1898, the U.S.S. Maine exploded and sank in Havana, Cuba, setting the stage for the Spanish-American War. That same year, the first Indian brand motorcycle was assembled and H.G. Wells`s book War of the Worlds was published.
