Begonia formosana forma albomaculata is a beautiful rhizomatous species begonia is native to Taiwan and the Ryukyus Islands. It has upright stems that rise from the rhizomes. This is a silver form of the species. The green leaves are lobed and heavily frosted with lots of silver flicks and spots. The flowers are light pink. This species is very cold hardy and can be a perennial in mild winter areas if mulched. If grown outside it will freeze down and then come back from the roots. It gets about 12 to 15 inches tall.
