The little tray measures 4" X 3" and fits perfectly inside the matching box. The box measures about 5 1/2" X 4 1/8" and stands 2 1/2" tall with lid. The covered dish can be used for anything that fits but it was probably a cigarette holder and the little tray an ashtray. Nothing negative to mention, NO chips, cracks or crazing. The red foil tag is still on the bottom that states LEFTON'S EXCLUSIVE JAPAN.
