ANTIQUE SILVER EAST INDIAN FIGURAL
Exquisite antique indian silver rose water sprinkler ( I think !) !!!
The truth I sthat I really don't know what the purpose of this beautiful object is. The dealer who sold it to me thought it was used to sprinkle rose water on guest for parties & weddings.
That really doesn't explain the pumping mechanism unless it was used to disperse the rose water as a fine spray instead of just drops.
I tried filling it but couldn't get it to work.
In the meantime it looks graceful & elegant in my group of silver collectibles from all over the world. She is draped in a sari and has wings, so she must be an angel !
