In a board meeting of Big Tobacco executives, a publicity scheme to offer any town in America $25 million dollars ($200 million now by Biden's inflationary standards) if they can quit for 30 days. Knowing full well the addictive nature is such that they can't lose and its great advertising they move forward with the idea.

But what they didn't count on was spirtual leader Dick Van Dyke to motivate the community of Eagle Rock Iowa to take up the challenge. Once the smoking ban begins the Reverand becomes a sex addict, John Deere checkpoints are set up for contraband, newscasters arrive with trucks of equipment, buxom "massage therapists" arrive to relieve the addiction, beer vendors, souvenier shops, and more. The event takes on a circus-like atmosphere as the town approaches its goal.

But, the evil tobacco companies begin to get nervous and send in a spy to derail them. It only takes one to smoke and lose the prize money. As it looks like the town will reach its goal, the spy pulls out all the stops. An all-star cast that includes Tom Poston, Bob Newhart, Jean Stapleton, radio personalities Bob & Ray, and more '70s TV stars you will recognize.
