This antique translated prayer book was printed in the year 1857 in Vienna Austria .
Translation was performed by Joseph Güns, a scholar and translator who made major contributions to Jewish liturgy. He is best known for this translation which is also known as "Tefilat Yeshurun."
All pages are intact and readable. Small 32mo (4" to 5") book, can fit in a suit pocket. 877 pages. Remarkably good condition for a book printed in the 1857 edition. Cover is red leather. Exterior has rubbing wear on rear cover and 0.25" tear at head of spine. Cover lettering and designs as well as page-edges are gilt. Leather clasp is as new. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked. No ownership markings.
