Édouard Bénédictus was a designer, artist and chemist by training. He was born Paris, France in 1878.
This illustration is from his book, Variations: Quatre-Vingt-Six Motifs Décoratifs En Vingt Planches published in 1928.
He developed a passion for Art Deco, and his geometric images and colour palettes became hugely influential on international fashion, home furnishings, graphic design, and interior decoration.
