Light curtains are safety devices used to protect people from hazards in industrial environments. 
They consist of a transmitter and a receiver unit. The transmitter unit emits a beam of light, and
 the receiver unit detects the light beam. If the light beam is interrupted, the safety light curtain will 
trigger a safety response, such as stopping a machine.
