Rare Vintage Watt Pottery Orchard Ware Coffee Pitcher 115

I could not find much about this particular pitcher, but did find that this sleek coffee server was made by the Watt Pottery Company sometime between 1936 and 1965. Most Watt pieces are individually hand painted in such patterns as apple, dutch tulip, starflower and rooster. Its pattern is called "orchard ware" which was a special line produced by Watt Pottery, and it is likely that pieces in that line were not painted.

I aquired this at an estate sale many years ago and the lady that owned it had painted it orange. I removed the orange paint carefully except for what stuck in the area that is damaged on the handle. There are two areas of damage with photographs attached. Stamped on the bottom is WATT 115 (but looks like an S) and USA ORCHARD WARE. Even with the damage this is a beautiful piece of Watt pottery and very rare.

Measures 9 1/2" to the spout and may have had a lid originally which is not included. It is cream colored with brown speckles.

Weighs over 2 1/2 pounds by itself.
