Offered is a Mid Century era, handmade (thrown on the potters wheel) and hand-painted art pottery pitcher, by FRATELLI FANCIULLACCI Master Potters (1903-1980). Made in Montelupo-Fiorentino - a small commune in the province of Florence in the Tuscany regieon of Italy. The pitcher is glazed in a matte ballet pink and textured with vertical striations (sgraffito technique). Decorated with floral bouquets in relief, hand-painted in black and dotted with with blue centers. The handle gracefully folds in on itself at the top. This piece is in very good to excellent, pre-owned condition. There is one chip noted on one of the raised petals. There are no cracks or repairs. Please see photos for more detail on condition. The pitcher’s bottom is hand signed and numbered. It reads, “hand painted, Italy, number, has the, “E & R, (importer). E & R- Ebeling & Reuss Co. (1900-2002), was an American importer of porcelain, earthenware, and ironstone.
