1952 Arlington Memorial Amphitheatre Washington DC Vintage Postcard US Military Memorial

This vintage postcard features a striking photograph of the Arlington Memorial Amphitheatre in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. Built between 1915-1920, this memorial was constructed to honor the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps dead. The amphitheatre, made of white Vermont Marble, cost $825,000.

The postcard is postmarked June 20, 1952, and includes a handwritten message describing the structure as "a fine structure - a rather unusual one."

The postcard is in good condition with a legible postmark and a 2-cent John Adams stamp.
