This well made ring is gorgeous. The main stone is a genuine aquamarine from the Mangoro mine in Madagascar, which is an 8mm x 6mm pear cut and weighs 0.9ct. and is a soft shade of aqua blue. On either side of the aquamarine glitter three 1.3mm round cut pink sapphires (six sapphires total), which weigh 0.06cts. Small round cut natural white zircons (not to be confused with man-made cubic zirconia) line both shoulders of the shank. All of the stones together total 1.15 ctw. The aquamarine.  The setting is sterling silver plated with platinum for strength, durability, and tarnish protection. The ring is stamped 925 and signed. The sterling silver setting complements the beautiful gemstones nicely, and the setting is darkened with black rhodium where the sapphires are set.

Aquamarine has been valued for its healing properties for thousands of years. Some say it has a calming energy that can help reduce stress and anxiety, and improve communication and self-expression. Others say it can help with emotional healing, such as uncovering fears and anger that cause emotional trauma, and with spiritual healing, such as chakra alignment and mental clarity. Aquamarine is also said to have physical healing properties, such as purifying water and protecting sailors.
