In early 1985, Donna Summer had left Casablanca Records, after ten years of releasing a string of awesome albums, where she then signed a deal with Mercury Records, but the deal with Mercury Records was short-lived, for after releasing the album I'll be talking about momentarily, she left Mercury Records and signed a short-lived deal with Geffen Records. In October of 1985, Donna Summer released her fifteenth album entitled, THE SUMMER COLLECTION, her third compilation album, where this one features some of Donna Summer's hits.
