Jackie Chan stars in this action thriller directed by Ding Sheng. While visiting his daughter Miao Miao (Tian Jing) for the first time in years to meet her new boyfriend, nightclub owner Wu Jiang (Ye Liu), Detective Zhong Wen (Chan) is taken hostage. After awakening tied to a chair, Zhong discovers Wu has orchestrated a vengeful plot to hold an entire bar to ransom while he meets with prisoner Wei Xiafu (Xiaoou Zhou). It's up to Zhong to decipher Wu's ultimate goal, free the hostages and save his daughter before the volatile situation spirals out of control.
