Known as the “Sweet” kumquat. Meiwa kumquat’s differ greatly from the Nagami (sour) kumquat variety, the fruit is larger and sweeter and has a more tender rind. It is the most preferred fresh-eating kumquat. Bite size fruit are meant to be eaten whole for a spicy sweet-tart taste sensation. Kids love them.

The tree can be kept as a patio plant in all other growing zones. If you live in a cold climate, simply bring your tree inside during the winter. The tree will produce fruit all winter. It also works great as a patio plant. The Meiwa Kumquat tree often produces several crops each year, with the Christmas crop being the most abundant.
