200+Lacinato Kale Seeds(Brassica oleracea) Dinosaur Kale Italian Heirloom Kale USA

This Italian heirloom is also known as 'Dinosaur Kale' due to the texture of the leaves. The heavily wrinkled three-inch wide leaves have a mild flavor, and are good steamed or boiled. Baby leaves can be harvested as soon as 30 days, to be used raw in salad. Mature leaves ready in 60 days.

Sowing

sow seeds in your garden after the last frost in the spring. You can continue sowing seeds until daytime temperatures are above 80ºF. Sow a single row of seeds spaced an inch apart. As seedlings emerge, you can thin them to a foot apart for full-sized plants, or refrain from thinning at all if you want to harvest baby greens.

Planting

Keep weeds controlled and conserve moisture by applying mulch. Keep the soil evenly moist, but stop watering after the first frost. Red Russian kale survives cold temperatures up to -10 degrees F.

Harvesting

Whether you transplant or directly seed, baby kale of this variety is ready for harvest 30 days after sowing, and full-sized leaves can typically be harvested after 60 days.
