Coca-Cola Early Syrup Throw Testing Bottle 10 oz Coke 1950s
The early bottling lines had liquid low-pressure fillers. The bottles came out of the washer, they squirted the syrup into them, squirted carbonated water into the bottles. They would then cap it and spin it into the finished product. They would use these "syrup throw" testing bottles to make sure that the amount of syrup being dispensed was correctly calibrated.
