Listing Format:

Because of the (size and/or) market value of this listing, it will be posted in the Dutch Auction format. 

• Dutch auctions begin at full market or a higher asking price and gradually (incrementally) decrease over time until an offer is accepted (by negotiation or automatically).  
  • Not all listings (auctions) will necessarily accommodate negotiated offers.
  • Some listings (auctions) may accommodate automatically accepted offers.

• Dutch auctions always decrease the asking price, never vice-versa; unless it is to correct an error.

• Unlike conventional auctions when mutiple bids can be placed, a Dutch auction operates as a Buy-It-Now listing, i.e. no bidding, the first person who wants to buy the item(s) can do so at any time, as there is no pre-determined length of time the listing (auction) will remain active; but such a listing (auction) can be removed at any time without notice. Unless a potential buyer extends an offer and the seller accepts it, the listing (auction) may and likely will, remain active.  

• Exceptions to a listing (auction) ending after an offer is made, is when an offer is declined (by the seller); in such a case, the listing (auction) will continue.

• Once an item's reserve (lowest price the seller would accept) has been reached, the Dutch Auction will indicate that the reserve was reached, i.e. no further asking price reductions will be displayed and either the asking price will remain unchanged and no negotiated offers will be considered or the listing (auction) will be delisted (until another date and/or time). 
  • Please take note, not all listed items will have a reserve, in such a case, the asking price may decrease until the item(s) sell or the listing (auction) is delisted.
