The Samsung washer lid lock and switch assembly is an OEM replacement part responsible for securing and monitoring the lid or door of the Samsung washer during operation. It also contains a switch that detects whether the lid or door is closed, allowing the washer to operate only when it is securely shut. The assembly consists of a motor and a lock mechanism that engage when the washer is in use.

The Samsung door lock switch can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.
