Vintage 1970's Tapestry, Boy and Girl - Background not completed

This is a beautiful pair of tapestries from the 1970's.  Boy and girl with her bag.

Both the boy and girl are complete but the background has not been started.  
They measure 18.5" long and 7" wide.
