Pre-viewed for quality and had to tweak the tracking for a little crackling on the soundtrack from the start due to the EP mode duplication. Played fine otherwise so be sure your vcr supports this tape speed. Cassette looks like new and so would the box if not for some endentation of a few barely visible words (from a note that was wrote on top?).
Out Of Print (OOP) and no longer being manufactured in any format.
A dying man (Walter Brennan, in his last role) summons his four daughters, who blame him for the death of their mother, and tells them that his second wife is trying to poison him. The dreary-looking old dark-house murder mystery set at Christmas is an ABC-TV movie. It's like a mixture of 'Dark Shadows' and Bergman's 'Cries and Whispers', with thunder and lightning and zoom-lens "shocks".
Though the sisters disagree on the validity of their father's rantings, it soon becomes clear that someone wants to silence the girl's as well! But who could it be:
Eldest daughter Alex, the protective 'mother hen' of the sisters? Frederica, the alcoholic beauty obsessed with her mother's suicide? Jo, the promiscuous divorcee who can't wait to leave? Sweet and innocent Christine, the dependent baby of the family? Or is it really Elizabeth, a convicted former murderess?
You're invited to a fun-filled December evening at the Morgan family ranch. The roads have been washed out, so you can't leave. You can't call for help; the phone is dead. And a very special guest is about to put in a surprise visit--but it isn't Santa Claus! It's a pitchfork-wielding psychopath who's HOME FOR the HOLIDAYS!
