Dr. Carl Hurley is a former Eastern Kentucky University professor, and nationally recognized Lexington, Kentucky comedian and lecturer. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Education from the Eastern Kentucky University and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Missouri. Carl holds the professional designation of Certified Speaking Professional and was inducted by his peers into the National Speakers Association CPAE Speakers Hall of Fame.
In his early career, he was often billed as "America's funniest professor." Featured on what was formerly the Nashville Network, he has also made numerous appearances on the Bill Gaither Homecoming Series and Public Television.
Hurley was born in 1941 in a log cabin in the Appalachian foothills of Laurel County, Kentucky.
