ALL THE KING'S MEN by Robert Penn Warren                            Bantam Books, 1st Paperback Printing, 1951                               Condition: Good Plus                                                                  PYLON by William Faulkner                                                           Signet Books, 1st U.S. Paperback Printing, 1951                        Condition: Very Good Minus                                                                                                                                                                Two great novels of the American South by celebrated award-winning writers.  MEN itself  won the Pulitzer Prize in 1947; Faulkner won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1949.  Both of these first paperback printings have great cover illustrations.  A rather large chip and a tear at the lower spine, which also has reading creases & edge wear.  There is a small front cover corner crease, a very light back cover crease, light cover scratches and generally modest wear on the extremities. The interior has some corner creases, mostly very small and light, and light page toning.  Despite the book's thickness (580 pages), the binding is secure and mostly tight & the book is unmarked.

PYLON has cover creases and some spine edge wear, a few light cover scratches and mostly light wear on extremities.  The front upper page corners are creased/curled & one page has a shallow edge crease/tear, else the spine is straight, the binding is tight and, except for a small smudge on the front cover back, the book is unmarked.
