This charming set of plates are by Casual Ceram. They are marked "Provincale, Casual Ceram, Trade Mark, Japan" on the underside of each piece. The pattern is entitled "Provincale" and features a stoneware base with a brown underside and rim glaze with a speckled white front and a hand painted Tulip in yellow, blue and pink.
Casual Ceram was an American ceramic firm based in Japan that produced a wide
range of stoneware tablewares for the export market from 1963 through 1987.
This set includes five dinner plates measuring 10-3/4" in diameter.
The condition is as shown in the photographs. No chips or cracks. There are some surface marks from use. and some natural imperfections in the glazing.
