1. What Kanephron coated tablets are and what it is used for
A traditional herbal medicinal product used as a supportive treatment and in addition to specific measures applied in cases of mild complaints of inflammatory processes of the urinary tract and to prevent sand deposition in the kidneys in adults and persons over 12 years of age.
2. What you need to know before you take Kanephron coated tablets
Do not take Kanephron coated tablets
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances, to other plants in the family Apiaceae, Umbelliferae (e.g. anise, fennel), to anethole (a component of essential oils) or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
if you have active peptic ulcers;
• in cases of impaired cardiac or renal function and/or if your doctor has advised you to reduce your fluid intake.
Warnings and precautions
Immediately consult a doctor if you experience persistent fever, cramps, blood in the urine, with a constant need to urinate and acute urinary retention.
Kids
This medicinal product should not be taken by children under 12 years of age.
Other medicines and Kanephron coated tablets
So far, no interactions with other drugs are known. No interaction studies have been performed.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or plan to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. If your doctor deems it necessary, you may consider taking Kanefron coated tablets during pregnancy.
It is not known whether active substances/metabolites are excreted in human milk. Kanephron coated tablets should not be taken during breast-feeding. There are no data on effects on fertility in humans.
Driving and using machines
Studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have not been conducted.
Kanephron coated tablets contains glucose, sucrose and lactose
If you suffer from some intolerance to certain types of sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
