I have two beautiful Heisey crystal clear glass Lariat pattern dishes. You may choose which one you want, or buy both. The smaller piece is a plate, 8 1/4 inches wide, and fairly flat (it
dips down slightly in the center), and it weighs 14 1/2 ounces. The larger one is slightly cupped like a bowl, but it's very shallow. It is 9 1/2 inches wide, and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds. (The measurements include the loops around the rim.) This is nice quality crystal glass from the 1940s-early 1950s.
There is no damage to the loops around the rim on either piece. There is quite a bit of wear on the polished bottoms of the bases, as would be expected for 70 year old glass. There are some use scratches in the center of the 9 1/2 inch bowl, but not much on the smaller 8 1/4 inch plate.
ON THE 8 1/4" PLATE: On the bottom rim there are two points that have tiny chips on the point, and one that has a large thin flake off the side (1 cm by 9 mm). The chips are nearly invisible from the top.
ON THE 9 1/2" BOWL: There are 4 points on the scalloped base that have chips -- one has the bottom corner chipped off, and two have from 1 to 3 small chips on the side of the points. There is also one more point on which the side is nearly gone caused by one chip that's 1 cm long by 6 mm wide. This one can be seen from the top if you are looking for it -- it looks flat instead of pointed.
