This is new in very good condition, never been worn & has a 24" long strand of Fresh Water Pearls. Has an etched Horned Serpents & a God's Eye on the 2-1/2" Medallion. In total it is 14-1/2" long. Charley signed it on the backside. See Photos for further description. Sold AS IS

The snake is sacred to the PeeDee (Creek) Indians who were considered as 'Snake People'. It was said the Waccamaw would avoid killing snakes for the fear of the Snake People coming to avenge them.  

Muscogee Creek traditions include a Horned Serpent and a Tie Snakeestakwvnayv in the Muscogee 

Creek languageThese are sometimes interpreted as being the same creature and sometimes 

different — similarbut the Horned Serpent is larger than the Tie SnakeTo the Muscogee people

the Horned Serpent is a type of underwater serpent covered with iridescentcrystalline scales and a

 singlelarge crystal in its foreheadBoth the scales and crystals are prized for their powers of

Alabama people call the Horned Serpenttcinto saktco or "crawfish snake," which they divide into four classifications based on its hornscolorswhich can be blueredwhiteor yellow.[6]
