Pair of Carved Standing Wooden Hands

I found this unique pair of carved wooden hands and I'm not sure if they were glued together at one point but I don't think so.  They are very finished on one side and rough on the other.   They appear quite old but I don't have any way to verify.  They both have felt on the bottom and one has a very old price sticker of $12.
