(46) Antique Black and White Snapshot Photographs, mostly circa 1922-25. All pertaining to the Omar Bond Merrow cattle farm on Merrow Road at Littlefield Corner in Auburn, Maine. Subjects include: Harriett & Omar Merrow, Emma Haskell, Mary Rideout, Sid Caldwell, Ruth Haradon. Also, the Littlefield Tavern, Merrow wheat field, Merrow slate quarry, several cows including one that sold for $150 and another for $200, farm equipment and transport, Merrow family home, and even the family dog and cat. Our second image shows the location of the farm near Auburn, Maine (not included with purchase.) All measure approximately 3.5 x 2.5 except for two smaller photos which measure 2.5 x 2.5 including white borders. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. They are in excellent condition. Comments: Omar was born April 2, 1880 and attended school at Littlefield Corner in Auburn, Maine. He died in December, 1963. His family genealogy is recorded in the book, "Richard Pinkham of Old Dover, New Hampshire and His Descendants East and West," by Charles Nelson Sinnett. Omar was married to Harriet "Hattie" Lufkin Haskell on March 8 or 9, 1909. The couple lived near Auburn, Maine. Merrow was a successful businessman in Auburn who had a large scale cattle business. The family is still memorialized by the street name "Merrow Road" in Auburn.
