We settled in Victorian Era because the help we got indicated the models beginning with “C” showed a start date of 1907.
Admittedly information is scarce and we found no other Gorham table top mirrors that were both two sided and flip top. We think this might have been a shaving mirror but the model C126 has not been located as yet.
Mirror is 7 inches tall, is around 5.5” wide and the mirror is 5” across.
The markings indicate a right facing lion indicating English made and likely York, a Gorham “G” scripted hallmark with an anchor for English purity mark for Sterling. It is also marked sterling next to the hallmarks along with the C-126 model number. On top of the mirror is also marked STERLING but is partially worn off.
There was a small dent in the sterling that was more noticeable once we polished lightly. We have photographed it but it’s hard to really see.
The mirror is really in nice shape considering the age. The stand is themed with hearts.
