STORYBOOK DOLL (c.1950)

The Storybook Doll Company made many types of dolls in various styles, sizes and materials. Without their original paper tags or boxes it is hard to identify them. This 6 1/2" brunette doll is made of hard plastic. Her arms and legs move and her head turns. Her eyes open and close had she has painted features (lips and lashes). Her pink and white striped dress has deteriorated (see photo). She also has muslin pantaloons. Shoes painted on. The seam on her left side has separated cleanly under her arm. Marked on back: STORYBOOK / DOLLS / U.S.A. /TRADEMARK / REG.
