Vintage Religious Medal, Unusual Virgin Mary Medal Encased in Clear and Blue Lucite

This pendant measures approximately 1 x 1. 1/4  inches, measured at widest and longest points. The lucite medallion is set in a plastic  setting that is silver tone metal color with open filigree/lattice work. The exact date of this medal is not known, but it is thought to be from the 1950's and perhaps West Germany.
