Rare original copy of this popular souvenir publication by Frank J. Haynes, first official photographer of Yellowstone National Park (and Northern Pacific Railway). Published in Dakota Territory (prior to the existence of North Dakota) so dates to 1889 or earlier. Shows geysers and other natural wonders. Yellowstone was created in 1872. Haynes documented President Chester Arthur's trip to the park in 1883.

Original black-stamped embossed cloth boards. 10 double fold-outs with numerous black and white photos. 7.5" x 5.75". 

Rare - only one other original listed online and that one with damage! Great piece of American history.
