Vinyl plays with crackles, clicks, and pops (play-graded). Cover looks great, a few creases near edges; scuffing, faint surface impressions, and discoloration spots (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is somewhat readable and mostly split with heavy wear. Top/bottom-edge completely split with heavy wear; top-edge held together with tape near center. Opening is crisp with signs of use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Hank Snow performs Big Country Hits in his traditionally plaintive style. There are twelve songs featured that were hits recorded by other artists that Hank wished he had recorded, hence the mentioning of "songs I hadn't recorded till now" on the cover of the album. This record is one of 46 studio albums released by the Canadian-American singer-songwriter over four decades. Most popular in the 1950s, Snow's career spanned more than 50 years. He recorded 140 albums and charted more than 85 singles on the Billboard country charts from 1950 until 1980.
