High Wheel Bicycle Woven Wire Sculpture For Wall Installation Inside Or Outside--This is a large wire sculpture of the old high wheel bike so popular around the start of the 20th century. It can be displayed inside or outside and looks very good o brick and concrete surfaces.
It can affix to a wall by means of bolts or large screws and remains very stable.Attached in this fashion it stands out from the wall about six inches. It measures 21 in. long, about 5.5 in wide and 20 inches tall, it can be displayed higher on the wall and still capture attention. It is a good atmosphere builder even in a bar or restaurant.
This was an estate rescue and had been displayed over a garage door. It had considerable surface rusting. I cleaned the wire and re-coated it with a combination primer/rust inhibitor black paint. The wooden bicycle seat was left as is but the buttons around the seat show the rusty condition. The wood is aged and adds an antique look to the sculpture. Minor warping and bending might need to be straighten depending on where and how you display it.
