What is Baneocin ointment and what it is used for

Baneocin is an antibacterial drug that is applied to the skin. It works by destroying certain bacteria that cause skin conditions.

Baneocin ointment is used in:
- infections of hair follicles and infections of sweat glands
Treatment of certain infections and ulcers of the skin
- Panarites
- treatment of burns and injuries caused by hot, superinfected liquids
- treatment of superinfected eczema, cracks and cuts
- prevention of infections occurring after skin surgery.

Adults and children over 2 years of age
- Spread the ointment in a thin layer on the affected area 2 to 4 times a day.
- The affected area can be covered with a dressing.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
