Spanish SECN Trubia-Naval light tank (Lewis gun armed), Spanish Civil War
The Trubia-Naval was a Spanish light tank built by the Sociedad Española de Construcciones Navales (SECN) located in Sestao, Basque country. Due to the start of the Spanish Civil War and urgent need for tanks it was developed on behalf of the Autonomous Basque State modeled on the Trubia Model 1936 paper design. The tank was armed with two machine guns, the first ones receiving the Lewis machine gun recently received by the Basque authorities, one in a rotating turret and the other at the front operated by the driver, the crew was two men. Exact production numbers are still debated with estimates between 12 and 45 vehicles total. The tank served on the Republican side of the Spanish Civil War with a few examples being captured by the Nationalists.
This model is 3D printed and meant to be an economical alternative to wargamers wanting to expand their armies, it can also be used to build dioramas.
This model is made in five parts, turret, hull top, hull bottom and tracks. The model will be sent with support material still attached for better safety during transport, cutting and cleaning by the buyer will be needed before assembly. The model is printed using PLA and gluing is needed, if adding accessories to it superglue type glue will be required or other epoxy glue.
The pictures are from one sample model and some painted shots, the models are similar in grade of detail after print cleaning. The model is dispatched in a postal cardboard box with protective material inside for better safety.
