Looming in the entrance to the Natural History Gallery, this reconstruc tion of a Woolly Mammoth is a major feature in the Museum's glimps into British Columbia's biological/living past. Now extinct, these ele were well adapted to the Pleistocene conditions 12,000 year ago, and roamed the post-glacial plains and valleys of the Province.
