♦ WONDERFULLY CURVY: With just a bit of a bow to it, although the bow seems more exaggerated than in person, which may be because it's leaning against the backdrop at an angle for support.
♦ MANY DIAMONDS: The top 28" is a bunch of diamonds that have run together into one long gorgeous reddish brown marking.
♦ COMFY though BUMPY: There are diamonds on the side that don't impede, but rather the indents make great finger grips and hand guides. All are comfy since they're sanded smooth...just not flat or flush.
♦ GIRTH: Hand grip girth is best for a Lg to XXL hand (determined by what size work or winter glove you wear). (Please see 'Size Guide' below).
♦ TALL: Perfect for someone just a tad taller than average, HOWEVER some shorter folks just prefer taller walking canes.

♦ DIAMONDS: Covered with an exceptional array of 18+ natural wooden diamonds 💎 with all sorts of wonderful twisting curves and a variety of tan, caramel, dark brown and reddish brown colors.
♦ SPALTED RAILING: Has a bit of highly coveted, unique and rare 🦄 semi_railing effect, where the diamonds become one with the wood and twist and turn the wood due to spalding/spalting..
♦ SOME PROTRUDING...Some "diamonds" even stick out like an ear, where you could pinch both sides, and normally I'd say you could maybe lace or pierce something through them, but there's a stone inlaid a bit too close to the edge for you to add another hole on this one.

This walking staff is a OOAK (one of a kind) item made from native northern Minnesota diamond willow tree, and handcrafted by Tim P., a local, experienced artisan.
♦ Sustainably harvested in northern MN.
♦ Main bark removed by hand.
♦ Dried/cured naturally by air for a minimum of several months, though often much longer
♦ Meticulously and lovingly sanded to reveal nature's beauty
♦ Given 4-5 coats of clear polyurethane.
Hubby uses a walking cane DAILY (or hiking staff for woods trompsing), and has had the same hiking staff and cane for several years. He takes pride in making sure you get a beautiful, strong and sturdy walking staff to last for many years!

♦ As a GENERAL rule, hiking sticks should be about shoulder height...give or take a few inches.
♦ For FLAT terrain, or rolling hills and groomed trails, a walking staff should be about 4-6" above the elbow, or a few inches below the shoulder.
♦ For HILLY terrain, a stick that's shoulder height or even a few inches above the shoulder is often preferred to help when descending.
♦ But Preferences vary
♦ Sooo...if you've never had a walking stick, try practicing on a broom stick (while wearing 👞🥿walking shoes) to see what height stick feels comfortable first AND where your preferred 🖐handgrip location would be.
✨ WE CAN SHORTEN, at no charge. We'll happily cut it down for you. Just let us know the length you want. Measure 2️⃣ twice and we'll cut once (then sand and coat with clear poly).
ABOUT MAX 150-200_ lbs.

♦ This can probably hold more weight, but since this is quite crooked and a tad thinner than we usually sell. Plus, Pa is "only" 180 lbs. and tests each stick to make sure it's sturdy, just by trying to bend it to make sure it doesn't make a cracking sound...but he doesn't run and jump with it. ;)
♦ If you know you're not going to put ALL your weight on this in a prolonged, strained way, then it could definitely hold at least 200 lbs. (maybe more...you judge because you know how you'll use it).
♦ Most of our walking sticks have a weight limit of 350 lbs. but since this is so long AND a bit bowed, that makes it more bendy.
♦ THIS STICK does bend just a little if you push really hard on this, so it's not meant to be a crutch you lean on ALL the time. And no pole vaulting! ;) That way it will work great as a hiking aid for many years!

Since this is wood, and we're not a factory, I make no guarantees about the future condition of this walking stick, but CAN GUARANTEE it was strong without any large cracks when WE harvested, cured, coated, listed, and packed it for shipping after it sells, inspecting it at each step along the way.
PLEASE INSPECT ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT before each use to make sure no cracks or weaknesses have developed, since wood does change over time.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS

♦ Bring it inside when you're not using it, and maybe wipe dirt or water off of it with a dry cloth or damp cloth if needed....when you can.
♦ Being left outside for a little while every now and then is no big deal. I've had the same stick I use daily for many years, and I leave it out sometimes--just not too often.
♦ These are made for the outdoors, but the clear poly is not UV tolerant like marine epoxy.
♦ Should not be left in the sun or extreme heat or cold for days and weeks on end. Otherwise, the same thing will happen to your lovely walking stick that happens to wood furniture left outside in all sorts of weather.
♦ Just bring it indoors when not in use, and the 5 coats of poly I've put on will help protect your walking stick and help you keep it nice looking and useful for many years.
