Lice are unpleasant, but do not pose a health hazard. 

The head louse thrives only on humans. It is usually transmitted by hair touching infected hair. 

A very short touch is enough. Lice cannot jump or fly, but use their six legs to hold onto hair. 

The head louse drinks blood every 2-3 hours - this is what causes the itching. 

When removed from their human host, lice die within 24 hours. Lice are gray/brownish in color and reach from 0.5 to 3 mm.

 Often the reason for their discovery in children is itching, but if the child has recently been attacked by lice, he may not feel itching.

An adult louse lays 5-9 eggs per day. 

The brown eggs stick to the hair about 1 - 1.5 cm from the scalp where it is warm. The young louse hatches after 7-9 days. The empty eggs, known as nits, remain attached to the hair. 

They are white in color and no longer have a live louse in them and are removed by combing the entire length of the hair with the fine part of the lice comb.

The brownish head louse is noticed while crawling. If there are more lice, a more careful search is necessary. If they are difficult to find, they should be removed using the special comb.

Lice are removed in a few easy steps

1. Cover the shoulders with a light cloth, on which the fallen gray or reddish lice will be easily noticed.

2. Apply the liquid to the hair until it is completely wet and rub it into the roots. This will make it easier to comb the hair with the anti-lice comb. Pay attention to the areas around the neck and ears.

3. Comb with the large part of the comb and let it sit for 10 minutes.

4. Detangle again with the large part of the comb.

5. Wash hair as usual.

6. Work with the fine part of the comb to remove the nits, which are located about 1 centimeter from the root of the hair. To achieve a better result, brushing is done in strands. The yellowish-white nits stuck to the comb are periodically removed with a brush under running water.

If any nits/eggs remain unremoved, they may hatch after 7-10 days. 

Therefore, it is recommended to repeat the procedure after 7-10 days.
