Very nice German-made wind up mechanical carousel / merry-go-round with 3 tin planes suspended on wires with turning propellers that spin as the planes gain speed. Toy is fully functioning and key is included. The base is lithographed with a country scene and has 3 small metal feet that raise the base up about 1/4” from the sitting surface. Toy measures approximately 12” across and 5” tall and folds up (as in photo 6) to fit in 7” x 7” x 5” box after the Italian flag that fits into the top of a wooden sphere is removed. There is a barely visible area on the bottom edge that says "Made in W. Germany", but no other identifying marks are on the toy. I’m not sure when this toy was made, but my records show that it was purchased in 1993, probably new at that time. The toy has been in storage since then and is in new condition.
