This piece is an interesting step back in time.  Ready for a new collector's home.

 

A history of the city of London from the Roman Period to the reign of George II. Illustrated with 119 black and white line drawings with etching by Francis S. Walker. Size: 9" x 6" -332 numbered pages with uncut index and ads to the back. 119 illustrations all intact.

Special blue calf leather binding for a school prize: cover is decorated with gilt. Raised bands to the decorated spine. Marbled end papers and page edges. Copy is in Vintage Good condition. Some faint edge wear and sunning to the blue calf boards. A touch of wear to the top of the spine. The interior is clean and unmarked with a tight, solid binding.

Cosmetic condition is as clearly and accurately shown in the high-definition pictures provided.

Overall, a rarity, and very uncommon. A really great History Book to add to any good collection.
