New SeaStar (Teleflex Marine) NFB 4.2 mechanical rotary steering system. Part number SS14713. Includes cable, helm, and bezel to fully replace an existing steering system or as part of a new installation. Features “No FeedBack” (NFB) technology to lock out steering loads, a smooth 4.2-turn lock-to-lock helm, and a common 3/4″ tapered keyed steering shaft for wheels up to 16″. Suitable for most outboards up to 130 HP that have a tilt tube and link arm.

Cable Length (Important!);

This system comes with a 13 foot cable (SS14713). Read the measuring guide in the product photos thoroughly to make sure it is what you need. The 13ft is measured from the helm connector to the end of the stainless shaft that connects to the link arm. If measuring an existing cable and you only measure the cable jacket, it will be too short!

NFB 4.2 single-cable systems are suitable for most single-station boats with a single non-power-assisted outboard and sterndrive engines up to V-6 and minimal engine flutter or steering instability. 4.2 accepts wheels up to 16” diameter. Use dual cable system for boats with engine flutter or steering instability. Replaces nearly all SeaStar Solutions Safe-T steering systems (including twin cable) without dash modification.
