This is a wonderful vintage women's Christmas sweater with a skier / snowman theme.
Vintage label is: Alps Merrimac Valley New England.
100% pure wool.
Red background with Intarsia knit design in white, green, blue, black and purple.
Skiier racing downhill amid evergreens. Border with crossed skis and snowflakes.
Snowmen border. The snowmen have purple hats!
Sleeves also have snowflake and Christmas tree design.
Wide ribbed standup collar with silver etched buttons.
Long sleeves.
Rib knit bands at hem and sleeve cuffs.
I believe it probably dates to the 1960's.
In very good condition - I did a few minor repairs on it as my policy is to sell items as perfect as I can make them.  The repairs are neatly and expertly done. Subtle - not noticeable.
This is a unique and fun sweater - love the retro-liciousness of it!
