This is one of a number of books I got from a serious collector. They were all bagged and most are in near pristine condition. I took them out of their plastic collector’s bags in order to provide great photographs of the awesome quality of these books. Extremely collectible in very good vintage condition! This book is one year earlier than the much easier to find Bantam Books edition.
From Back of Book: Martin Lynn’s mother was dead and he had no money to bury her. Frantic with grief he went to Father Kirkman to demand a big funeral. When the priest insisted on simple rites Martin’s control snapped. He flung himself on the priest and killed him… This is the story of a strange murder and an even stranger man-hunt. The killer is a Catholic boy who blamed the Church for his poverty and tried to tear its teachings from his heart. Yet wherever he went the fear of The Lord walked with him. In desperation he turned to Rita Conroy for aid. She, too, was a rebel. And she helped him even though she was Father Kirkman’s niece. Events close in on Martin until a talk with a mourner leads him back to the Faith he disowned.
