Master Grooming Tools™ Ergonomic Dematting Tools feature razor sharp hardened steel blades to remove tackle tough mats and tangles on any breed and are also good for removing undercoat on thick or double-coated breeds. With thick rubber ergonomic handles for comfort.

Master Grooming Tools™ Ergonomic Dematting Tools were designed by groomers specifically to increase comfort and reduce the risk of repetitive motion injury. The innovative pistol grip handle keeps your hand in a natural position to reduce hand and wrist fatigue.

Each Tool features razor sharp hardened stainless steel blades to remove tackle unmanageable mats and tough tangles and remove undercoat quickly and efficiently while maintaining coat length. Ribbed, non-slip rubber coating provides greater control for safe, effective mat removal with minimal effort. Double-bonded handles will not come off.

All Master Grooming Tools™ Combs and Brushes are guaranteed for life against any defects in materials or workmanship by the Manufacturer.

Comb or rake?

Whether you chose a comb or a rake style tool depends mostly on personal preference. Some people prefer a comb style tool or a “combing” motion when grooming and others prefer a rake style tool or a “raking” motion when grooming. Combs are a little easier to get into smaller or tighter areas (under or between legs, ears, etc.). Often times groomers use a coarser tool with less teeth and/or wider spacing between teeth for breeds with thick coats and for prep work, removing larger mats and then a finer tool with more teeth and/or less spacing between teeth for breeds with finer hair or coats and for finishing, removing smaller or tighter mats & tangles.

COMB STYLE TOOLS:

The Comb-Style Tools are available in two models, one with 9 blades and one with 12 blades. Both measure 6 3/4"long.

9 Blade Comb has 2” long teeth/blades and is best for prep work, longer and thick hair. The 9 blade teeth are spaced wider apart (3/8”) than the 12 blade tool. Best for prep work, removing large mats and for use on thick coated breeds, longer hair.

The 12-blade comb style is smaller, with closer teeth spacing (1/4”) for tighter mats and/or smaller dogs. The 12-blade Comb measures 6 5/8"long, blades are 1 3/8"long. Best for smaller dogs and medium to fine coated breeds, getting into tight places.

RAKE STYLE TOOL:

The Rake-Style Tool is available with 10 blades and measures 6 3/4"long.

The 10-blade Rake measures 6 3/4"long, blades are 2"long and set 3/16"apart. Best for prep work, removing large mats and for use on thicker coated breeds, longer hair.

RETURNS/REFUNDS/EXCHANGES

All returns are accepted. We try to accurately and honestly describe all our products and handle returns in a fair and reasonable manner. All items, unless otherwise stated, are new with manufacturer’s warranty (if any warranty-this will be stated in item description). RETURNS: Most items can now be returned via’s automated return system which will provide a return label and other info. (Under your purchases there will be a link next to the item purchased for returns). Please be sure to select correct reason for return e.g. changed mind, does not fit, found better price, item defective, etc. EXCHANGES: Exchanges are easiest & quickest to process by doing return through automated system for item you don't want and then just buying item you want. Once I receive return back I will process refund. If you find item to be or damaged on arrival, please notify me via email prior to opening return and I will try to correct issue or problem. If problem is unable to be corrected, I will refund or promptly exchange with you once item is returned to me (I pay all shipping costs on damaged or defective items). Items must be returned in new, clean condition in original packaging with all original parts, tags, papers, boxes, etc. If item is not returned in new condition or with all original paperwork/boxes, etc. a restocking fee may be charged. Defective products can be returned in exchange for the same product or refund. Returns of an item for any reason other than item is damaged/defective will incur a restocking fee (generally this covers my cost and time to process return, my cost to ship to you, etc.) After return period please refer to manufacturer’s warranty (if any).
