US double-weight matte photograph from the 1960s Hollywood-themed drama, THE LEGEND OF LYLAH CLARE, released in 1968 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Robert Aldrich, in which a dictatorial film director (Peter Finch) hires an unknown actress (Kim Novak) to play the lead role in a planned movie biography of a late, great Hollywood star.
The image depicts film director Louis Zarken (Peter Finch) having just slapped Rossella (Rossella Falk) while his mistress, Lylah Clare (Kim Novak), watches from the hallway above. It comes from a newspaper archive and is in very good condition as shown.
