The Toronto Blue Jays are a Canadian professional baseball team based in Toronto which compete in Major League Baseball as a member of the American League East division. In 1989 the Blue Jays won their first AL East Title but would fall to the Athletics in the ALCS. They then returned in 1991 but suffered another heartbreaking loss. During the offseason the Blue Jay acquired Dave Winfield who soon became their missing piece!! In 1992 the Blue Jays made it back to the ALCS and won it Thrusting them into their first World Series and finally bringing Baseball's Fall Classic to Canada!! The Toronto Blue Jays went onto defeat the Atlanta Braves; capturing their first World Series Title!! This issue of Sports Illustrated from November of 1992 recounts each game of the Blue Jays first world series victory and all the moments leading up to that glorious victory!!
